Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Listed (“Listed,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile app and the website at listedapp.ai (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account info. When you sign up we collect your email or Apple ID, a display name, a username, and (optionally) a profile photo, bio, pronouns, links, and social handles.
- Content you post. Events, posts, stories, comments, messages (including direct messages and group chats), photos, videos, audio, and any music or location tags you attach.
- Identity verification. If you choose to verify your identity, we collect government-ID images and a selfie. Verification is processed by Stripe Identity; we receive only the pass/fail result and a Stripe session ID. Verification is optional.
- Payments. Payment-method details for paid events go directly to Stripe — we never see your card number. For Listed Access subscriptions, Apple handles the payment; we receive only a receipt and transaction ID.
Information collected automatically
- Device + usage. Approximate device type, OS version, app version, language, and basic crash and performance telemetry.
- Notifications. If you enable push notifications, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) provides us with a device token tied to your account.
- Location. Listed asks for location permission only for features that require it (live-location sharing with selected friends, suggesting events near you, and map views). You can revoke location access in your device settings at any time.
- Camera, photos, microphone. Used only when you choose to attach media to a post, story, or message.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Service — show your events, deliver messages, render your feed and notifications.
- To moderate public content. Posts, stories, comments, messages reported by users, and event listings are screened by our AI moderator (see §4) for content that violates our community rules.
- To process payments (Stripe) and subscriptions (Apple).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, harassment, and to enforce our Terms of Use.
- To respond to your support requests.
3. Information we share
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only with the service providers we need to run Listed:
- Supabase — our hosting provider (Postgres database, file storage, authentication, server functions). All your content and account data lives here.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — text from public posts, stories, comments, event listings, and reported messages is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to classify content against our community rules. Anthropic processes the text only to return a moderation decision and does not use it to train models. No payment info, location data, or media files are sent to Anthropic.
- Stripe — processes payments and (if you choose) identity verification.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and In-App Purchase / subscription billing.
- Mapping providers — we display map tiles and search venue names. Coordinates are sent only at the moment a map view is rendered.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Listed, our users, or the public.
4. AI moderation
Public content on Listed is reviewed by an automated moderator using Anthropic's Claude API. The moderator may remove a post, story, comment, or event automatically. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you can appeal directly in the app — appeals are reviewed by a human and content is restored if the removal was incorrect. Repeated violations may lead to account suspension.
5. Children
Listed is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, contact us at the address below.
6. Your choices
- Account deletion. You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, posts, messages, stories, and event data. Some records may be retained briefly for fraud prevention and legal compliance, then permanently deleted.
- Notifications. Granular toggles live in Settings → Notifications. You can also disable notifications at the OS level.
- Location. Revoke at any time in your device's Settings.
- Block / Hide. You can block other users; blocked users cannot see your content or message you.
- Subscription cancellation. Cancel Listed Access via Apple — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, we delete or anonymize your information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for a legitimate business reason (e.g., resolving a dispute, preventing fraud, or enforcing our Terms).
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on the database. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. International users
Listed is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US.
10. Your privacy rights (California, EU/UK)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
